South Hill Park Arts Centre

The two glass projects link the old and new art centre at South Hill. The glass roof light is situated in the ceramics and print studio. the design is based upon an abstracted image of a seed. The seed has been used as a metaphor for the beginning of an idea.

The Tall Hall screen contains treatments on both surfaces of the glass based on text generated in collaboration with the South Hill Park Poetry Group. The text also embraces excerpts of poetry by shelly and one of the art centres patrons, poet laureate, Andrew Motion.
